Science of life

The word “Ayurveda” is derived from two Sanskrit words: “Ayur,” meaning life, and “Veda,” meaning knowledge.

The Vedas are ancient sacred texts that preserve the knowledge revealed to humanity by the Rishis — enlightened seers and sages — more than 5,000 years ago.

The philosophy of Ayurveda recommends a way of life tailored to each individual according to their “dosha” — their natural constitution — and promotes health through gentle massage, the use of plants in all their forms (padapas), soothing sacred sounds (mantras), and precious stones (ratnas).

Ayurvedic massages (abhyangas), performed with warm oils enriched with herbal infusions or essential oils (tailas), lead us towards the joy of living through the five senses (smell, sight, taste, touch, and hearing) and the five elements (earth, fire, water, air, and space).

They are adapted to each person’s constitution according to their “dosha”: Vata, Pitta, or Kapha, which we determine together during your session.
