Naturopathy MTE – for Traditional European Medicine – is an approach to health using all natural methods known to our ancestors since the time of Hippocrates, i.e. since more than 400 years before Christ.
Naturopathy is based on knowledge of the laws of nature and on the philosophy that Hippocrates summed up as follows: “Primum Non Nocere,” which in Latin means “first, do no harm.”
A session always begins with establishing the patient’s health history—known as anamnesis—by observing their eyes (iridology) and tongue, measuring their pulse, and making any other additional observations about their profile.
It continues with a prescription of phytotherapy (fresh or dried plants, in mother tinctures or glycerine macerates, in vegetable oils or essential oils, in spagyric medicine or Bach flowers, etc.) and nutrition (vitamins, trace elements, minerals, mineral salts, superfoods, etc.) and lifestyle advice.
During the session, a naturopathic treatment is usually performed to help you regain your physical and mental balance. Manual practices improve the body’s functions by acting on: the skin and muscles, reducing pain and inflammation; important points on the body and areas linked to organs; posture; the digestive and immune systems; sleep; and the lymphatic and cardiovascular systems.
